The most amazing and tiniest shop you will ever visit! Delicious gingerbread and rum butter...mmmm. This used to be the schoolroom where WW taught.

Beautiful church, dating from the 7th century, although mostly from 13th century on. The gardens are a delight, and resting place of WW.

Home to William W and his sister for years. Delightful little cottage museum and a trip back in time. 20 minutes walk from Rockwood.

In and around Rockwood

The immediate area around Rockwood has a huge amount to offer. These are all within walking distance (albeit some quite a long walk!), and well worth just browsing. But difficult to get away from William Wordsworth!

Hawkshead Old Courthouse, 5 minutes from Oak Apple
Dove Cottage
Grasmere Village
Sarah Nelson’s Gingerbread Shop
Grasmere Church

One of the most famous villages in England, home to the Wordsworth family. Browse around the quaint streets, ancient church and gardens, have tea in a local tea room or visit one of the 17th century pubs. 10 minutes walk from Rockwood.
